DURDANA is so passionate about helping people. When my uncle’s first book was published, he wished to donate his book to VPL. I talked to Durdana and she agreed. She talked to her managers about the book and finally it got approved. When I told my uncle that his book is going to be placed in VPL’s Urdu Collection, he got so excited. Thanks very much to Denise for always leading great Born To Read programs. My son and I went to her programs regularly on Fridays and it was something we looked forward to every week! Now that my mat leave is over, I still try to get grandma to bring the little one to attend Denise’s program.
My son is participating in the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Every time we reach another 100 books, Alex gives us our milestone sticker with a great big smile and huge enthusiasm. I can tell she’s as excited as us. Thanks Alex!!

We'd like to thank Ursula who we know is no longer working at the branches! We first met her back in 2017 at a puppet show she put on at the Dufferin Clark branch. It was so much fun, and we have been attending all the puppet shows at all the other branches now. She then hosted a Maker program for 3-5 years old. She was so much fun and the activities she put together were so creative. My little one learned so much and had so much fun. We know that she's no longer in the branches and are so sad, but it was amazing to meet her and have participated in her activities! THANK YOU, URSULA! WE MISS YOU!
