Healthy Eating on a Budget
  • Learn how to meet nutrition goals while on a budget, with possible health challenges in mind. In partnership with Vaughan Community Health Centre. Session is hosted live on Zoom. Register on Eventbrite.
    This presentation reviews Canada's Food Guide, food groups and portion sizes. Participants learn about the importance of hydration and daily food requirements. This presentation provides information on how to read food labels and make informed food choices. It is particularly useful for individuals who are living with high cholesterol, diabetes or high blood pressure. This workshop is also beneficial for individuals who would like to lose weight or have food allergies and intolerances. Presenters: Shadi Aboozia, Registered Dietitian at Vaughan Community Health Centre and Cindy Sabolic, Community Health Worker at Vaughan Community Health Centre
