Ready, Set, Slow : How to Improve Your Energy, Health, and Relationships Through the Power of Slow / Hoopla Digital.

A transformative journey filled with wisdom and practices on the power of slowing down for spiritual balance and peace amid modern chaos. In the face of burnout, lack of passion, and endless to-do lists, what if to achieve more you need to do less? "There's too much at stake not to slow down," shares Qi Gong master Lee Holden. "By slowing down, you will gain time, energy, focus, and clarity." The idea that slowing down can lead to more productivity may sound too good to be true, but research confirms it does this and more, if only we can figure out a way to apply it in our everyday lives. In this transformative guide, Holden shares "The Slow Method", principles of slow mind, body, and relationships drawn from the philosophical wisdom of Eastern meditation, martial arts, and philosophies, and merged with Western science. The resulting practices offer ways for accessing the magical benefits of slowing down to create lasting change in your life and the lives of those you love. Whether you're practicing primal shaking or gratitude meditation for the mind; vagal breathing, optimal digestion acupressure, or in-the-moment nature methods for body; or heartful self-connection, conscious communication, or sexual reflexology for relationships, you're learning the power of slow. With small, incremental changes, you'll develop a comprehensive understanding of how to slow down and increasingly embrace life's rhythms along the way as you cultivate and absorb the life-giving energy that we're all in dire need of.

The Pike / Hoopla Digital.

A party gone wrong? Or a sickening group attack? Not everything is what it seems, and not everyone is who they appear to be. A young girl is found dead at the Pike Tower on Winter Hill near Chorley and DCI Walker and the newly promoted DC Briggs are drafted in to investigate. But what they find extends far beyond the Rivington Pike. What seems like a party gone wrong, or a sickening group attack, transpires to be much more, and threatens not only the local community, but Walker and his team too. "Authentically written, patiently penned, and satisfyingly dark, The Pike is a top-flight crime thriller." - SPR Editorial Review ★★★★★ After identifying who'd taken the deceased to the Pike, a cat and mouse chase ensues, taking them to Manchester and back. And when more women are attacked and left for dead, Walker gets reinforcements, turns it into a wide-scale manhunt. If they don't find the attacker soon, more women will almost certainly die. But Walker and his team don't have to look too far, and what they find is much darker than they could possibly have imagined. Is it a sin if you are the victim? The Pike is the second book in the stunning debut police procedural crime thriller from JJ Richards (although it can be read as a stand-alone). Fans of Ian Rankin, JD Kirk, Matt Brolly, Patricia Gibney, and Michael Connelly will love this! Buy your copy NOW and get into this page-turning, unputdownable series!

Being Elisabeth Elliot / Hoopla Digital.

Elisabeth Elliot was a young missionary in Ecuador when members of a remote Amazonian indigenous people group killed her husband Jim and his four colleagues. And yet, she stayed in the jungle with her young daughter to minister to the very people who had thrown the spears, demonstrating the power of Christ's forgiveness. This courageous, no-nonsense Christian went on to write dozens of books, host a long-running radio show, and speak at conferences all over the world. She was a pillar of coherent, committed faith-a beloved and sometimes controversial icon. And while things in the limelight might have looked golden, her suffering continued refining her in many different and unexpected ways. Her early years, related in Becoming Elisabeth Elliot, traced the transition of a young woman who dealt in "certainties" to the woman who lived with the unknown. Now, being Elisabeth Elliot increasingly meant confronting how much she did not understand. She sought her reference point beyond her own experiences, always pondering what she called the "impenetrable mystery" of the interplay between God's will and human choices. And it is that strange mystery which shaped the rest of her startling life story. Ellen Vaughn is a New York Times bestselling author and speaker who has written or co-written twenty-four books. Former vice president of executive communications at Prison Fellowship, she collaborated with the late Chuck Colson on a number of his seminal works. She speaks at conferences, often travels to interview Christ-followers in hostile parts of the world, and serves on the board of directors for ICM, the global church developer. With degrees from Georgetown University and the University of Richmond, Ellen lives in northern Virginia and enjoys reading, hiking, drinking coffee with friends, and staring pensively at the ocean.

Never Say Never / Gallagher, Michael

Colby McNichols, otherwise known as the baby-faced assassin, is the left wing for the Western Wildcats hockey team. All he has to do is sign his name on the dotted line and he'll play for the pros after his senior season. What I've heard from the girls on campus, who aren't shy about spilling the tea, is that he's totally earned his reputation. And then some. It's just one of the reasons I choose to steer clear. Trust me when I say that my life is complicated enough without getting tangled up with a player. For reasons I can't fathom, Colby has decided to insert himself in my life. Everywhere I go, there he is. Which makes holding him at a distance nearly impossible. He might be smoking hot but there's zero point in starting something with this guy. Especially since I can't be honest about who I am. Unfortunately, a weekend spent in Vegas changes everything. Turns out that our friends weren't the only ones who tied the knot in Sin City. I can only hope that what they say is true-what happens in Vegas stays there. Because if it doesn't... I'm screwed. And not in a good way.

Drive Me Wild / Edwin, Vanessa.

When Blair Beaufort literally crashes into Bellamy Creek wearing a ball gown and a tiara, I should have towed her car, said goodnight, and sent her packing. Im a mechanic, not a hotel manager. I've got enough on my plate trying to keep my shop from going under, my overbearing mother off my back, and my baseball team in contention for the league championship. I dont have time for a former debutante with zero street smarts and a cash flow problem, even if she is crazy beautiful. Problem is, shes stranded in my small town, and Im hiding a protective streak underneath my broody exterior that runs deep. So I offer her a place to stay and keep my hands to myself. For exactly one night. If only she weren't so gorgeous. So funny. So eager to please. Shes a disaster behind the wheel, but she drives me wild without even trying--at work, at home, in the back of my truck . . . I cant get enough of the way she makes me feel. But I know better than to think it can last. She wants a fairy tale, and Im no prince. So when it comes time for her to leave, theres nothing I can do but let her go. No matter how much it hurts to say goodbye.
