Things are really shaping up at the Civic Centre Resource Library this week. The exterior sheathing installation continues at the south side of the building. Glazing installation is ongoing around the exterior perimeter as well. Fritted glazing installation along the north and west are also being installed. Check out some photo updates.

This week at the Civic Centre Resource Library, exterior sheathing installation continues to progress around the building perimeter and work is ongoing at the south side. Glazing installation has commenced and panels are being installed around the reading garden as well as the north elevation. Hardscaping activities started along the south with the drilling and installation of sonotubes for piers.

Things are progressing at the Civic Centre Resource Library this week. See below for a quick photo update.

Curtain wall framing is progressing.

Roof work is ongoing at the balcony.

Fire spray work is ongoing.

Exterior sheathing work is progressing at the reading garden.

The library is really shaping up! As of this week, spray fireproofing has commenced, exterior sheathing installation has started at the north elevation, roofing installation is underway, and site work is complete in preparation for paving in the reading garden.

Things are moving very quickly at the Civic Centre Resource Library. As of this week the masonry walls are complete at both levels. Walls have been built on the ground floor office area. Duct work and electrical wires continue to be installed.

Lots has happened at the Civic Centre Resource Library this week. The slab pour took place on the second level. Scaffolding and railings are secured in place. Metal decking has been completed over both levels. Metal stair construction has commenced, stair B and C are being fastened in place. Mechanical and electrical rough-in and stub ups are ongoing and they will be progressing through to the second floor in the next two weeks. Mechanical is continuing to install hangers for duct installation.

Trimmer angle has progressed around the second floor. Scaffolding is also in place for work on the second floor.

Slab has been poured on the second floor.

Safety rails are now in place around the second floor for work to take place.

Stair C is in place adjacent to the washroom and maker space room.

Stair B connections are ongoing at the northeast stairwell.

Electrical service to the second floor is ongoing.

Metal decking over is approximately 95% complete over both levels. Connections and fastening of the decking is not complete yet. Mechanical and electrical have resumed rough-in and stub ups at grade. Workers will be progressing through to the second floor in the next few weeks. Mechanical is continuing to install hangers for duct installation. Masonry work has commenced on site. The elevator shaft and stair B has been constructed.

Structural tie-ins (welding) are ongoing.

Below slab electrical rough-in is ongoing.

Electrical work above grade continues.

Slab on grad prep is almost complete.

As of this week, the primary structural steel appears to be complete. Installation of the secondary steel such as trim edges is ongoing. Metal decking installation is complete on the first level, and is approximately 60% complete on the second level. Mechanical and electrical rough-in as well as connection welding continue to progress.
