Groundbreaking of Carrville Community Library

June 8, 2022, marked another historic moment for Vaughan Public Libraries! A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Carrville Community Library, Carrville Community Centre and District Park. The new multi-use community hub will combine play, learning, fitness and sports spaces.

The new library is our response to the community’s evolving needs, where lifelong learning opportunities are accessible, and citizens have access to comprehensive programming, dynamic services, and multifaceted collections. We believe that our new library will look great and enrich people, inspire opportunities, and transform the community.

Carrville Community Library will be located between Dufferin and Bathurst streets near Major Mackenzie Drive (Carrville/Block 11), and completion is expected in 2024.
