I read The Couple Next Door a few weeks ago and I still can’t get over how intense and thrilling it was! Normally, I’m a very slow reader and it can take me about two weeks to read an entire book, but I read this in less than 3 days! I was so excited to talk about it when I finished it, but a bit hesitant as I didn’t want to give too much away! However, I can’t contain my excitement any longer and must rave about it!

First off, I was a bit weary to start reading this when I found out that a child abduction was at the centre of the story, as this is a very sensitive and emotional topic that I wasn’t sure I could handle. However, I decided to read it anyways, and I’m so glad I did! Yes, there were emotional and heartbreaking moments throughout the story, but these moments made me connect and sympathize with the characters all the more, especially Anne, the distraught mother who will do anything to get her baby back.

So, I absolutely love “whodunit” mysteries, and I always find myself trying to figure out who did the crime before the end of the story. This story was no exception and what made this story so intriguing was that I couldn’t figure out who did the crime! I would be set on a character as the culprit, but then, something will be revealed and I would change my mind again. There were so many revelations and twists right up to the last page of the story that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time!

I can say a lot more about this book, but I’m afraid of revealing too much and spoiling it! All I can say is that it became a highly praised and popular book for a reason – so give it a read! You won’t be disappointed!
