Story:
Learn to use a go-with-the-flow approach to dating in this new, refreshing book about finding your ‘media naranja’ or half-orange by relationship guru Amy Spencer.

My Thoughts:
I have to admit I felt a little silly reading this as a 23-year-old single lady. But it really didn’t disappoint. After leaving this book for a really long time, I didn’t think I would get the motivation to pick it up again. But I decided to give it one more chance before returning it back to the library. And I was happily surprised I did!

After I got past all the “orange breathing” and “orange buzz” wierdness, I began to enjoy the book. I found it refreshing, reaffirming, and calming. Spencer’s approach instills confidence into even the biggest pessimist (me!) and makes us feel that happily ever after is a very real possibility. Her optimism is contagious. Her strategies for finding your half orange involve finding what you love to do, spending time with those you love, and visualizing a happy future. These seem like down-to-earth, sensible strategies.

The mantra that really stuck with me is when Spencer writes, and here I paraphrase: Remember you don’t have to figure out HOW it’s going to happen. Your job is just to WANT it. Great advice Amy!

p.s. If anyone is interested in making a dream board with me, let me know and I’ll explain how it works!
