Building Update: Carrville Library

Continuing to make progress, we are happy to share the latest construction updates for Carrville Library!

Library books have been delivered and shelved as of late January, and collections are currently being protected while deficiency work is ongoing in the library space.

Selected library furniture is already on site including merchandising furniture, selected seating and equipment. Subsequent furniture deliveries are anticipated to be arriving before the end of March.

Some of the incoming furniture has been awarded through a competitive procurement process to vendors that are sourcing furniture from the United States. To date, we are unaware of any delays or possible tariffs that may impact these orders. Staff are, however, working closely with City of Vaughan’s procurement office to mitigate potential impact.

Deficiencies work continues, and ongoing site priorities include IT equipment and network installation, testing of integrated systems, signage and furniture deliveries.

Lastly, regular team site meetings have concluded, and all future meetings are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
