Building Update: Carrville Library

We are excited to announce that a significant milestone has been reached in developing our new library. On December 16th, we achieved substantial completion, an important step that signifies the near-finalization of construction. This achievement means that site works, deliveries and installations no longer require vendors to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while on-site, signalling a safer and more accessible environment as we transition to the final stages of the project.

Building Update: Carrville Library

As we continue to enhance our facilities, we’re excited to share the latest updates on the ongoing interior and exterior works at Vaughan Public Libraries.

Currently, our interior renovations are well underway, featuring a variety of miscellaneous finishes, painting, and hardware installations. The library is taking shape with the following key activities:

  • Roof Testing: We are in the midst of roof testing to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Fire Safety: Fire alarm inspections have been completed, and we are now planning subsequent testing as required to ensure a safe environment for all.
  • IT Infrastructure: Installation of IT equipment is progressing smoothly, alongside fire alarm testing and integrated system testing.

Additionally, our team is diligently working on site de-watering and permanent filtration, which are crucial for the long-term functionality of our facilities.
