Wassup Geeklings?  Happy Holidays!

Whether you’re still in the thick of it with school or officially off for the winter break I hope you’re staying warm and having fun.  I thought today I’d post some geeky yet goodwill-inducing videos to throw a little festive cheer your way.

First up we head over to HISHE‘s Villain Pub, where the regulars are in the festive spirit…

Next up is a new trailer for The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, a film we’ll have to wait a whole year to find out what the heck it’s about, but is intriguing all the same.  Based on the classic holiday tale of The Nutcracker by E.T.A. Hoffman, which has had many book and film adaptations as well as a famous ballet (trust me, you’ve heard the music), Disney is trying a new take on it.  After watching this little snippet comparisons to Alice in Wonderland can’t help but be made, but there are also hints of the Nutcracker segment of Fantasia.  See the teaser for The Four Realms below.

And since Star Wars is back in the public eye this Holiday Season, we’re pretty much obligated to once again bring up the Bantha in the room; the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special.  Vox recently put out a really interesting video explaining how the special came about and what it meant for creative control for George Lucas, and later Disney.  Ripple effects people!  Worth a watch for the Star Wars/Pop Culture History nuts (Yo!).

And this holiday season let’s not forget to give another shout out to our pal Krampus.

Hope you enjoy all the holiday fun this year.  Stay tuned for a 2017 wrap up next week, have very Happy Holidays Geeklings, and until next time, End of Line.
