Preparing for the Canadian Citizenship Test? Join this free workshop to learn the test format, key Discover Canada topics, study strategies, and how library resources can help you. In partnership with Welcome Centre.
This one-session Citizenship Test Preparation workshop is designed for adult newcomers who are permanent residents planning to write the Canadian Citizenship Test. The session provides a clear overview of the test format, eligibility requirements, and key topics covered, including Canadian history, geography, government, symbols, and values.
Participants will explore highlights from the official Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship study guide, review sample multiple-choice questions, and learn practical study and test-taking strategies. The program also introduces free Vaughan Public Libraries resources, including print and digital resources and practice tests.
By the end of the session, participants will feel more confident, better prepared, and more connected to the library as a trusted settlement and learning resource supporting their path to Canadian citizenship.
