Virtual Puppetry Summer Camp

  • Join us for an adventure into the art of puppetry. Children will learn about puppetry from professional puppeteer Mike Harding of Applefun Puppetry. For grades 2-5. Session is hosted live on Zoom. Register on Eventbrite.

Mike Harding will teach children how puppetry does not have to be complicated or expensive. Everyday supplies from around the house will be sufficient. By the end of the week children will have:

    • 10 hours of instruction from a professional puppeteer • Multiple live puppet show demonstrations • Create a puppet and bring it to life • Design and build a simple puppet theatre • Create a story and receive performance tips • Put on a puppet show!

Mike Harding of Applefun Puppetry has been performing for nearly 20 years at libraries, schools, and birthday parties. Having studied Improvisational Comedy at Second City his shows have developed a unique and spontaneous flavour with a high degree of audience participation. He has also been studying the art of puppetry since the late 80’s and is a member of The Puppeteers of America, The Puppetry Guild of Peel, and is the past president of The Ontario Puppetry Association. Mike Harding is an absolute delight and will have your children engaged and laughing all week long.

The summer camp will run from July 12 –16, from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM. Limited space is available. For grades 2-5. Register on Eventbrite. Special reduced rates for the remaining sessions.
