Located in the PwC Tower of the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC), Vaughan Public Libraries will have libraries on the first and second floors for your convenience.

The library at street level will be the first of its kind in Vaughan, a 350 sq. ft. self-service quick stop that will feature popular materials and bestsellers. The second-floor library will be full service with beloved VPL staff, tons of resources and your favourite VPL programming!

Construction steadily continues on the new libraries at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC). The libraries, on the first and second floors of the PwC Tower, are anticipated completion date is targeted for late Fall 2019.

Great progress of the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre library can be seen from the street as well as from inside. The second-floor library space has been completely glazed in as glazing continues on the upper floors of the building. Installation of the heating ducts inside the library is also progressing well.

Members of the community celebrated the topping off of the PwC building that will house the two libraries in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC). The building is located in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre adjacent to the VMC subway station and York Region Rapid Transit Bus Terminal.

Construction activities on the new libraries, on the first and second floors of the PwC Tower at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) site continues with the anticipated completion date targeted for Fall 2019.

Construction activities of the new libraries, on the first and second floors of the PwC Tower at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) site, are in full swing. Great progress can be seen from the future VMC downtown core including the subway station and while travelling along local arteries.

Framework of the second-floor library in the PwC Tower at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) is now complete and work has commenced on the third floor.

The project is currently on time to meet the anticipated opening in Fall 2019.

Exciting times continue at Vaughan Public Libraries (VPL). On June 20, 2017, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the PwC-YMCA Tower, which includes a new library!!

The 236,00 sq. ft. PwC-YMCA Tower is part of the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) development project. In this five-minute video, various stakeholders including Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua discuss the vision of the urban centre.

The VMC library will be approximately 10,000 sq. ft. located on the PwC-YMCA Tower’s second floor. It is expected to open in winter 2019. A 350 sq. ft. self-service, storefront library will also be located at street level by the main entrance which will be open to you 24/7 with your library card!
