The Carrville Library will undergo many stages before its expected completion in 2024. So far, one of the first stages we’ve seen is the design process and site plans laid out by Perkins+Will Architects. Early conceptual renderings, final designs, and material selections that comply with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities (AODA) are sought, especially in public spaces like community centres, public libraries and district parks.

The Carrville Library has received the Rick Hansen Foundation Pre-Construction Approved Gold Accessibility Certification for design compliance with the AODA. The Carrville Library design meets the standards as an accessible building for those living with disabilities.
