Fees

There is no cost for using the service. Only Material Cost if you want to use the library material. You can use your own material based on the Material Guideline.

If you're using plastic (e.g., Acrylic, Delrin), avoid materials like PVC, HDPE, ABS —they aren't laser-safe and can't be processed.

To book a staff member to work on your design:

Have a valid VPL card in good standing.
Become Certified by taking VPL's online Laser Cutter Certification Course.
Complete the Customer Agreement Form.
Read the rules and guidelines below:

There is a maximum of 3 bookings a week for each account and space.
There is a maximum of 1 booking per day for each account and space.
Bookings must be made at least 3 days in advance.
The laser cutter can be booked for a maximum 2-hour which 30 min of it is for preparation and cleaning.
Design can be in SVG, JPG, PNG, PDF or a simple drawing. The quality of the output is related to the resolution of the source.
