Rules and Procedures
for Individual and Group Study Rooms
-
Individual and Group Study Rooms are available for VPL Members only. A valid VPL library card is required.
-
Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations will be accepted.
-
There may be a waiting list if there are too many requests to use the rooms. When you are called for your turn, you will have five minutes to present yourself, at which point the room will be offered to the next person on the waiting list.
-
The time limit to use a study room is two hours. If there is no waiting list, you may continue to use the room until someone else requests to use the room or until the library closes.
-
Everyone using a study room must follow the library's Code of Conduct. Any damage to the room, furniture, or equipment will be the responsibility of the person registered for the room.
-
When you are finished with the room, you must sign out with a staff member. If the room is found empty, staff may consider it to be available and allow another individual or group to use it.
-
The library may use study rooms for other purposes on occasion.
