Building Update: External Library Signages

New external library signs have been installed at Maple Library and Ansley Grove Library, and an internal sign has been placed at Vellore Village Library, enhancing visibility and accessibility for all visitors. These clear, bold “Library” signs play a vital role in defining the library as a key community space, instantly recognizable to residents and newcomers alike. Whether driving by or walking in, the external signage makes it easier for people to locate the library and encourages spontaneous visits. The presence of prominent signs not only strengthens the library’s identity but also reinforces its importance as a central hub for learning, discovery, and community engagement. Inside the library, the internal signage at Vellore Village further enhances wayfinding, ensuring visitors can easily navigate and enjoy the library’s services.

Building Update: Carrville Library

As we continue to enhance our facilities, we’re excited to share the latest updates on the ongoing interior and exterior works at Vaughan Public Libraries.

Currently, our interior renovations are well underway, featuring a variety of miscellaneous finishes, painting, and hardware installations. The library is taking shape with the following key activities:

  • Roof Testing: We are in the midst of roof testing to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Fire Safety: Fire alarm inspections have been completed, and we are now planning subsequent testing as required to ensure a safe environment for all.
  • IT Infrastructure: Installation of IT equipment is progressing smoothly, alongside fire alarm testing and integrated system testing.

Additionally, our team is diligently working on site de-watering and permanent filtration, which are crucial for the long-term functionality of our facilities.
