Hey guys! Soooo, considering the fact that today may be making history in the world of hockey for Maple Leaf fans I feel I must first begin this post with a hup hup horrrrrrrrrrrrahhhhhhh!!! And a GO LEAFS GO!!!! Fingers crossed they beat the Bruins in game 7!!

Annnnnnnd, back to what I wanted to talk about for today cause it is living, breathing, epic awesomeness.
Yesterday marked the final day of Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield’s command of the International Space Station. For those of you who have been all “Meh, space. yeah, we’ve been to the moon. Whatevs”, I’m afraid you’ve been sadly mislead.
While all the space agencies around the world have been trying to figure out ways to encourage the worlds’ interest once more in space, all they had to do was get a 53 year old Canadian with a boss mustache and away we go!
Hadfield left Earth on December 19. 2012, arrived at the ISS – meaning International Space Station for those of you who can’t read awesome – on December 21, and became the first Canadian to command the ISS. And over the next few months he did what all the fancy space agencies have been trying to do – he made space cool.
Clickie HERE to read a cool article about stuff that Hadfield’s done and get your GO CANADA vibe on.
And to be even more cool, Hadfield has also shared with us his final goodbye from space in a glorious video:
Chris is returning to Earth today, with live coverage starting at 3:50pm….seriously people – he is going to be burning through our atmosphere in a few short hours. Could this be any more epic?? I think not. More news on Hadfield and his awesomeness HERE
And if this has got anyone in the mood for space books:
