Here’s a techie flashback for you! Before the Creation Spaces came into existence Vaughan Public Libraries had Maker Kits that circulated around to all of the library branches. These kits contained a treasure trove of technological delights for all ages and interests. One such kit was the Lego Mindstorm kit and with it we held some seriously awesome programming. Robots? Check. Cool and crazy tech ideas? You betcha.
But no one ever expected a dinosaur to crash the program party one day. (No one every does)
So here we see a moment caught in time where a hodgepodge Roboticus Mindstorminus squared off with a tiny-armed ninja-like Deskarexysaurus. The battle between the two was long and hard-fought. There were many near-misses and surprising comebacks. In the end both combatants went tumbling over the desk edge into the fathomless unknown. Ah memories.
You just never know what you will find going down at the library these days. But when you do decide to swing by to see what’s up, remember to bring along your dinosaur. Everything is better with dinosaurs. Just ask Steven Spielberg!
