Vaughan Public Libraries
Vaughan Public Libraries is working with Catholic Community Services of York Region (CCSYR) to provide a Library Settlement Partnerships (LSP) initiative funded by Citizenship & Immigration Canada (CIC).

The Library Settlement Worker, Zohra Bawari, is based at the Maple Library. In addition to English, Zohra speaks Dari, Farsi, Hindi, Urdu, and Pashto. Currently, the program schedule is as follows:

Mondays 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Tuesdays 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Wednesdays 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Thursdays 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Alternate Saturdays 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Zohra is available to provide information about and make referrals to free government and community services for newcomers and other members of the community requiring this support. Information can be provided on services related to careers and employment, schools and education, health care and housing, the law, immigration. No appointment is necessary and all services are free and confidential.
