Need a VPL Library Card?

Kids if you don't have a VPL's Kids' Card, here is how you get one:

If You Are Under the Age of 13

You can register in person at a local library branch with your parent or guardian. Before you come to the library to register, please ask them to read the information about joining VPL on the main VPL Web Site.

If You Are 13 and Older
You can register in person at a local library branch provided you bring a piece of ID that shows:

  1. that you attend school in the City of Vaughan (e.g. your report card, or student ID); and
  2. that you live in the City of Vaughan (e.g. driver's licence, bank statement, utility bill - telephone, hydro, cable).

When You Register You Can Sign Up for a PIN (Personal Identification Number)

A PIN is necessary to access your library account online and to access databases. You can set up your PIN at any VPL branch.

Your PIN protects access to your library record. As a result, it is important to choose a number other people won't be able to guess easily. Once your PIN is set up, keep it in a safe place and don't give the number to anyone.

If you forget your PIN, you must visit a VPL branch, bringing with you some valid identification. Staff there will be able to activate a new PIN for you.
